>think this now all - there are now plans afoot to destroy all 11
>million cattle in the UK. All livestock trading has now stopped - funny
>how they dont want our beef - but those European bastards happily shove
>OUR calves into veal crates in blacked out sheds !!
I sympathise with the intent here but can't help drawing parralells with the
agonies the drive for deregulation has put thousands / millions of innocent
animals through by the introduction of BSE into the food chain.. and the
suffering of possibly millions of human meaty eaters?
We have been badly misled. The lives of thousands...have been put at risk to
prevent harm to a powerful interest / lobby group *big business in the form of
the meat industry* I am surprised even at this late date that ministers are
attempting to manipulate the facts in order to keep us buying beef.
Because of this I sympathise with the view of the 20 countries who have banned
it so far, protect the consumer not commercial interests.
>Did you see Question time last night ??? (addressed to UK FCers) Harriet
>Harmon - categorically denied that milk could be affected ! Start using
>soya milk now !!
Yes I saw it_eerie_ it only serves to feed my paranoia...
Why is it that the overwhelming majority of cattle diagnosed BSE infected are
from the dairy herd?
Why is it that workers involved in the dairy industry are at a higher degree of
risk ( 7-1 ratio )
Also noted Dr. M Painter ( Govt. Spongiform Encephalopathy Committee ) saying
" I can't imagin it will stop with the 10 new cases identified this week. We
just don't know where it will rest? Between 10-100,00?"
So a fair few animals & humans without a future...On a more cheery note I see TB
is coming back in fashion<sick>
