Simple: I'm on the second floor. ;)
But anyhow, the problem here is the inference that, since anybody could at
any time break into my apartment, I therefore need a gun to protect myself,
because a gun is the best/most efficient/whatever way to protect myself.
And that's granting that wherever and whenever you're in your home, you keep
your gun loaded and by your side. I'll stick to self-defense training,
myself. At least with that, I'll have the option of degrees of force with
which to respond to the situation. Not to mention it's much more
interesting and healthy to learn a martial art than it is to learn how to
fire a gun.
