These two statements are contradictory. You do not need Winsock with win95.

AOL has had a telnet address for at least a year. I always preferred it for
the speed and the versatility.

Was this whole post written a year ago? I've used MS Word Internet
Assistant through two revisions now, and a win95 upgrade has been up for a
month or more.

Read this week's newspapers. AT&T should be up by now, but I think they've
only arranged to offer AOL access so far. 5 hours a month free for a year if
you use their long distance service.

WHY? Do you have any idea what MS Office costs these days? $460!!!!
(MicroWarehouse - upgrade $230).
I've been doing all my check writing and bill paying online for months with
free software from the bank Also, you should check out the sheer _size_ of
MS Office. Some 6.5 megs when running, almost 2 of which are *never*
returned to the system even when you shut it down.
