|> Fran, we've had it for about 2 - 3 weeks. "don't ask!" <; It rocks, I
|> certainly hope it solves all your problems.
This is total frustration speaking...
<RANT><STRONG>
I have a 7500/100 bought in September. Harddrive replacements now number 4,
two logic board replacements, and the machine itself has been replaced
once. I'm waiting now for yet another service call to replace a very noisy
fan -- the last harddrive replacement (2 weeks ago) solved only part of the
noise problem.
Apple, every time I call, gives me the run around. I'm so so so sick of it,
particularly when there are lists out there devoted to the exclusive
pumping of the Apple corporate hand (thinking here of Evangelist) and Apple
themselves bend over backward for a corporate glance, when they don't give
two shits about someone who could (remote, but possible nevertheless) could
be a good booster for Apple and could purchase more computer stuff from
them eventually. If I could get myself off the ground with my computer.
But no, they seem to be determined to not give a shit if I can work or not
on this computer. They sold the thing, it's gone. Their responsibility? Ok
to service calls and whatnot, but treat me nicely about it? Hah! Treat me
as if I actually have some knowledge of my computer? Hah! Treat me like a
second class citizen because I'm not some corporate someone? Yeah...
I'm so fucking frustrated that it's totally ridiculous. They don't give a
shit about customers who are not connected to a large company. They don't
give a shit that I can barely do on the 7500 what I could do on my old
LC475. They just don't give a shit at all. They don't send out software
updates to us poor suckers, they don't tell you shit on the phone, and they
tend to treat me as if I have fucking oatmeal for brains and a bottomless
wallet ("Oh, just take the computer to some service department... It'll
have to be examined by someone" _NO!_ I'm NOT dragging my computer off in a
frigging cab for a cross-town ride, particularly when I have $40 in the
bank and a $60 phone bill AND NO FFUCKING WORK BECAUSE THE GODDDAMNED
COMPUTER I BOUGHT IS A PIECE OF JUNK. YOU are making the service call, I am
NOT going anywhere in a cab). And so they think I'm a crank to boot.
Great.
Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"?
