Just out of curiosity, is this a full legalization with regards to taxes,
social security etcetera? Do gay couples have to possibility to adopt? And
finally, what do their passports say about their husband/wife?

In Holland, the government is preparing a law to give gay couples a
complete legal status so they can adopt. The opponents say that Holland
would be the first country in the world in which gay marriages are
legalized officially. So i was surprised to hear from you that Norway
already had legalized gay marriages.

With regards to raising children by a lesbian couple, there was a court
ruling in Holland last week. The question was who has formal custody over a
child, only the biological mother or both mothers? The couple argued that
since they both would raise the child, they were both sociological mothers.
The sole fact that only one of the mothers gave actually birth to the child
is not enough reason to limit the custody to only the biological mother,
the couple argued. Alas, the judge ruled that only the biological mother
has custody. The implications are far reaching. Fiscal issues when it comes
to heritage and also the illogicial conclusion that despite the fact that
the couple is officially recognized as a couple, they are not both parents
to their child. The legal status of the sociological mother is now
undefined.
Can you tell me what the Norwegian justice will do in such a case?

PS you still haven't changed your sig! And how about the nameplate at your
front door:-) ?
