I can certainly understand disliking a platform, or having been burned like
Fran (!).
But surely the question "What advantage does buying and apple these days
offer you?" is easily answered.
In this discussion we are forgetting the basic truth that apples "ARE GREAT".
You could ask 'what advantages are there in a mercedes benz over a ford?'.
eMotion Studios just copuldnt do what they do with a room full of anything
else other than big macs. nick ericson stuiods couldnt do what they do
with a room full of anything else other than macs.
if you want to do multimedia & graphics .. what would you rather have on
your desk than a 150 mhz power computing with 128 m of ram, a targa and 21"
monitor ?
The only wanted software that doesnt run on macs is soft image.
