Yes, Bill Gates and Microsoft are insidious forces for the domination of the
world...they are to be reviled :)...

But, the major media corporations--the networks, the companies who own them,
and the companies who generate their content--are much more insidious forces
for the domination of the world. They don't just dominate economically,
they dominate politically...

While we may not like to see the MS name on a tv network, we do like to see
the beginnings of something that could be very good...the subsumption of the
tv medium into the Internet. While MS may be one of the few that can
bankroll such a project at this point, the technology is bound to become
more available and interesting...

Corporate media power has grown and become more consolidated, but the
anarchy of the Net has grown too. Which will win? What technologies will
open the door to whoever wins? Ultimately, I think this could lead to wins
for Net-anarchy, (which is the side I'd say is mine)...though I don't know
if it will win the war.

This is an interesting conflict/interaction: corporate media power vs. net
anarchy. Being new here, I don't know...have you folks covered this one or
not? If not, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

BTW, I should introduce myself: I'm John Stoner. My personal and
