No hallucinations, read the current wired (pick up the one that Evan threw
acrross the room, screaming at the depth of journalism the it had sunk to)
big spread on Bill morphing into an entertainment company.

>A promotion, on NBC news, cutsey icon and everything...
>Has Bill Gates really "joined" NBC as a "sponsor" of the NBC news?

No, Bill has not joined nbc as a "sponsor"

>Did I really see the MS-NBC ad/icon/promo?

Bill has instead joined with nbc to create msnbc cable network. The
Microsoft news and business channel, or something like that.

>I screamed. I did. Really. Ask Paul.

Oh I believe you. Screamed until your throat was raw. Screamed for the
way this wide open frontier of information is being gobbled up by the big
boys. And while it's still possible to be a self publisher of information
90 times easier than it was before, those big boys (the smoke filled room
of THEM) are doing thier best to carve away the pie until they have a
sizable chunk. You're thinking back to the days when the net meant people
accessing othher PEOPLE's thoughts, not corporations such as MS or WIRED,
or TimeWarner, or Turner's editorial spins.

He has bought _A_ news channel. not all of them. yet.
