RL. Hmm. You ask very complex questions, my inquisitive friend. I could
go on and on and on about how things are going...news about how I'm actually
sorta happy that I'm single (unexpected), about my sudden forays into the
realm of the philosophical & vaguely-but-not-quite spiritual. I could rant
for hours about this goddamned job, and yet turn around and tell you how
excited I am that they've extended my contract for parttime work during the
school year. I could meander around that omnipresent "thesis" thing for which
I have begun to read (ooog). Oh, I could go on for hours :)

But, instead, here's a quickie summary:

1. I'm single (as many of you know), and it's not nearly as traumatizing as I
thought it would be (if past experience were correct I'd be anorexic and
sleeplessly surviving on black tea and cigarettes.) Fact is, I think I'm
sorta happy about being single (it really wasn't working out, no matter
how hard we tried to pretend), and my overall stresslevels have actually
dropped. Yay :) (Now I just gotta find a source of decently regular sex,
and life is perfect ;>

2. My job is a job. It pays well. I've had my official job offer for the
fall (doing the same stuff: computerized courseware development, HTML creation
and maintenance, faculty dealings, etc.) Yay :) Best part time job I'll
have ever had.

3. Uh...Taoism. *nod* I'm not sure I want to go into this here. Oh, and
transcendentalism. Yah. I'm not sure I want to go into that here either ;>

4. Thesis: Habermas. Yup. There he is, sitting on my futon-side milkcrate,
glaring at me. Woohoo. My advisor has returned from sabbatical. I can't
hide from it anymore. (Truth be known, I'm looking forward to it...don't
tell Jim that tho' *shh* )

Uhm...I don't have much of a life, it seems, since that's about it for a
RL summary :>

Er...I've chickened out for now. Too much work to do (at work) and I just
got a stack of new games (non-Linux). I'm still thinking about it, tho. I
just don't have enough confidence to pull it off just yet :) Maybe at
summer's end when I get a couple of days off. I've already picked a host
name, so I have to do it sometime ;>

It goes well :) Thanks a bagillion for asking. (It gets lonely sometimes...
regardless....)
