An aside: I saw on the news tonight that some "wacky" Quebec DJ called
Buckingham Palace, somehow convinced them that he was Prime Minister
Cretien, and got the Queen on the line for 17 minutes, asking her to make
some statement in favour of Canadian unity. This was beyond farcical,
and involved moments like:
QUEEN ELIZABETH: "Just a minute..." [hand over receiver, presumably
talking to Prince Phillip]: "It's Cretien, he wants me to make a statement
about Canadian unity..." [back on phone] "Yes, of course, I'll do whatever
I can, can you give me the text of what you want me to say?"
Between this and the random-guy-in-the-Queen's-bedroom incident, does
Buckingham Palace have *any* security at all?
