Concerning "Re: dot address and aol mailer server / Bill buys NBC", JP

I get transfer rates upwards of 2./sec. with Anarchie (ftp), a 28.8
modem, and a 28.8 connection thru my provider's T1. Can you really do
lots better than that on aol?

>As for content, ooodles of magazines from Time (Newt = Man of the Year !?)

most or all of which are available on web sites wherever -- though
transfer rates aren't quite as good thru netscape as thru anarchie...
So, basically, I can imagine that an aol account wd be a good idea for
travelling sort of people in order to have a connection wherever, but
otherwise? I'd think the monthly rates would be prohibitive.

On that note, my provider (and every other one in Montreal, nearly)
have just gone "unlimited hours per month", not bad for the kind of
connection I mentioned above. All for about $22/month, if you purchase
6 months at a time (one month free).

Anyway, All... hope you have a good holiday, whichever one you
celebrate! Me, I'm still drowning in work and stuff, but it's muchmore
pleasureable doing that in Baltimore. At least hugs can be had when
work goes wrong.
