clue 1 - if you wanna call me an asshole, learn to spell it
clue 2 - "pinko" is a touch outdated ... I think the hip 90's equivalent
is "liberal" (which would have annoyed this pinko radical much more
effectively)

clue 3 - don't lecture former political pros on "the leadership of
Congress" etc ... my guess is that my 30 years of pols has prolly taught
me a few things newly minted masters of poli sci haven't dreamed of yet
"the economics of the net" are one of the key issues here ...
indecency legislation looks like a very profitable strategy on behalf of
major corporate interests ... with small ISPs forced out of business by
the legislation's demands to censor their users, the field clears for the
Prodigy's and AOL's along with the cable co's, etc ...

clue 4 - see clue 1: you have an extra tit in activists

If Mike Godwin's speech counts as "whining" ...

It's fascinating to watch someone who's touted his essays on "rights" so
easily dismiss the current attack on fundamental constitutional rights.
Then again, Joshua's arguments have often read like Pat Robertson with a
new age gloss...
but listen ... maybe after we let them kick kids off the net, we can ban
them from libraries too ... after all, we wouldn't want all those young
minds exposed to all those dangerous ideas, now would we?
one final clue ... attempting to recover some glimmer of respectability by
posting sniveling "what I said is not what I meant" tripe when you draw
fire from folks like Alan is really ... dumb!

gee, last time I was called a "pinko"
I was also offered a one way ticket to Moscow...
