I was reacting, Joshua, to your use of "pinko." On Cybermind there have
been similar statements on occasion, which are disconcering. I don't care
who anyone is in favor of (well, I do of course), but that kind of
language simply cuts through and gets close to racism and other forms of
baiting. And if you don't believe in the petition, that's fine (actually
from your letter I'm not sure where you stand), and if you want to argue
against it, that's fine too. (Note however that we can't all go to
Washington and become lobbyists; some of us have jobs.) It was the tone I
was reacting to.
