Hmm. Yes...but :> I've already tread the road of eastern philosophies, and
I'm afraid that I just don't buy 'em. I know that that sounds rather
arrogant (I mean, really, who am I to write off several thousand years of
religious and philosophical thought) but, well, they just don't adequately
deal with my tendency toward 'reason'.

It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to delve, whole-heartedly,
into a reading of everything Kant wrote, and to take it from there. I'm
really beginning to wish that I was a philosophy major. In sociology and
English I get a decent exposure to a lot of philosophy, but none of it in
near the depth I would like to explore. *sigh* I've a philosophy minor
(and, for that matter, a minor in comparative religions) but it's just not
enough.

As for theology schools: we have a Divinity College here on our campus.
While some theology schools may be doing cutting edge stuff, ours is not.
A problem with being in the 'Baptist Belt' of Eastern North America, I
guess :> (Most of the Div.Col students are frighteningly fundamentalist,
and tend not to hang out with us regular students :) One of 'em actually
had my boyfriend exorcised of his 'demons of disbelief.' No kidding.

If I sound like I'm babbling, I am :> I finished my last x-mas exam this
morning, and I'm in the process of relaxing 'til my brains leak out my
ears :D I may very well go out and get scrape-me-off-the-floor-and-carry-me-
home-drunk tonight. I've not had time (or money) for a good solid drunk
all term. Tho', tell ya the truth, I really think that I'm getting too
old for that sort of thing. :> Being a bartender doesn't help. You know
how most people don't like hanging out where they work? Well, I hate bars.
*sigh*

Anyhoo...*blather*...I'm off. :)
