I think you can live pretty damned well on $20,000 a year. Maybe not in
New York City, but definitely in places like St. Louis, New Orleans,
Atlanta, Houston, and all over in Florida. But then again, I think you
can live well on $9,000/year if you live in New Orleans and rent. If you
own a home, $20,000 would be perfect.
