i got the two Bankses mixed up there, didn't i? I. M. Banks is the sf
writer, I. "without M" Banks the "mainstream" writer? right?
me, i've just read wasp factory by the "mainstram"writer, but most of
his sf work (at least all thjose you mention above), and i agree: it
is some of the best sf around these days!
