Sure there is. Let's create a Futurec mail bot that will scan through
the futurec mail feed and put up a list of URLs mentioned in discussion.
It would also regularly look at the last ofur lines or so of every message
and see if anyone new posts so that if they mention a url in the bottom of
the posting it would probably be thier home page and automagically add it
to the list. Then there could be features such that you could mail the bot
URLS that you have found that relate to the list. OR perhaps a secret FC
web submission page that only allows people subscribed to submit links and
stuff. Also we could create a one way submission box where folx could drop
in pages, pictures, sounds, parts of pages and then it would all get put
into it's propper place at a certain time each day.
This is going to sound really geeky (maily because it is) but I would
really love to design a good document structure for the page. Then we can
have the FTP drop box restricted to folx on the list where anyone can
submit a page and based on their name and position in the doc tree it will
get added or even overwrite existing pages. I kind of envision setting up
a structure for the pages and then anyone on the list can make changes
based on "suggested" structer and make any kind of change they want. Kinda
a mutual trust structure where we all trust each other to put up pages that
relate and not to override pages before it is time. The most important
thing on them will really be the database of our postings, but I think we
should start adding content of various manifestoes and other things that we
want to just publish that relate that will surround it.
Plus a killer logo. :-)
